Topos

When this began and was citiqued one of the inspiring comments was  about the fact that I had left it in my drawing journal and thus made it appear as an explorers journal mapping discovery.

Our topos map was explained as an opposition to chora along Aristotle's conception "to be a point no different than any other point, an inert container..." but we were given topophillia at the same time in the course syllabus. Tis we were told in lecture meant love of place. My topos map is intended to be 100% topos and my fellow students who critiqued it, to my gratification, rated it just that way. As a leed up to this assignment I chose the Universe as 'my place' so I have included those pictures as well as the map of the United States that was drawn from memory. It all seems to have worked down to a particular place within the Universe, Point Defiance Park.
