Dry Medium

            These marks are class practices, experiments in expression, which led up to the dry medium project,

            The dry medium project was to use one color or in this case black, Renoir referred to Black as the Queen of all colors, pastel which works essentially like charcoal. My worked turned experimental when the class was about ready to reconvene and my fixative (acrylic medium) wasn’t dry yet so I used a tissue to sop up extra medium and in the process created a print of the original. The print was more of an abstraction, thereby closer representing contemporary landscape art and becoming the main work for this project,
